Sunday fun-day project was a success! I spent the afternoon with my sister and our respective men so I needed a quick project, and this one didn't take long at all. I used the pattern below in the drawing from the diydish.com Where they have a wonderful tutorial. I posted the tutorial earlier to my blog so I didn't loose the link! I will for sure be making more of these little guys. I think this would make a cute banner or even mobile for above a crib or something. Definitely something to play around with here.
Love the owl. Owls are very popular on etsy. On tip though for selling on etsy. You should work on the pictures. People who buy on etsy like allmost cataloque pictures. When you make them, use natural light ( no flash) an make sure they come out perfectly centered in the small avatar picture you get from it. Also they love white background in pictures. That one is easy, just use a large sheet of white paper.
ReplyDeletethank you for the suggestions, I need all the help I can get! My camera is very poor, but I have not tried using natural light. I will give that a go first thing tomorrow and see if I can do any better.
ReplyDeleteAlso try to get more blog followers. Post your updates of your blog in etsy teams you belong to (In the blog update thread if they have it). It is an easy way to promote yourself and get useful feedback.
